I am delighted to welcome you to the inaugural edition of InTouch Online. As packed full of news and stories as ever, we hope that this new platform will bring you closer to all the action taking place at King’s and throughout your global alumni community.
Work on this issue has taken place in some of the toughest times the world has faced, and our thoughts are with you all as we face these challenges together. In this issue we share with you how King’s is contributing to the global battle against COVID-19 and we ask you for your support so that we can extend the work we are already doing, and in addition support the most vulnerable students here at King’s.
InTouch Online offers us new ways to share stories with you, and gives you a direct line to share your feedback with us in the comments of each article.
In ‘What I’ve Learned’, we meet Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (LLM, 1992). Adewale is a true groundbreaker and he shares with us how he overcame extreme challenges in his early life, going on to excel in academia and now Hollywood.
In ‘King’s Impact’, we hear from Professor Sebastien Ourselin, the King’s academic leading on the development of healthcare engineering here at King’s, Guy’s and St Thomas’. This unique centre is home to visionary medical technology that is already making a difference to patients’ lives.
InTouch Online offers us new ways to share stories with you, and gives you a direct line to share your feedback with us in the comments of each article. Let us know your thoughts – we’d love to hear them.
Best wishes,
